Colourful ball of liquid in space

The astronauts on the International Space Station posted a fascinating video today of a water bubble in space. Astronaut Scott Kelly added food colouring and then dissolved an effervescent tablet in a floating ball of water and captured images using a camera capable of recording 4x the resolution of normal HD cameras (which means a lot more detail can be seen).

Watch the different colours, textures and movements that this camera can capture and look out for the spitting green bubbles! This really is amazing…

I’ve just seen all the awesome videos that are on

  2. Hi Allegra,

Thank you for leaving a comment. I hope you enjoyed watching the videos.

It is amazing what happens in space when there isn’t any gravity! It was fascinating to watch what was happening inside the ball of water.

    Miss Y 🙂
