This week to help us celebrate our Book Safari Book Week we have invited Valanga Khoza to come and share his stories with us.

Valanga was born in the Limpopo Province of South Africa and spent his youth in Alexandra, a black township of Johannesburg.  He grew up in a community where many could neither read nor write, however music, dance and storytelling were an important part of the culture.   Their nightly ceremonies carried songs and rhythms passed down through thousands of years.   We are going to be lucky enough to hear some of those stories too…
