  1. Hello Kim,
I have just wandered through your library (via the photos)seeing all the brilliant, engaging activities you have for your students. Thanks to you and the students for sharing these. (Didn’t see one of you?) Marg Bergin

  2. Hi Marg

Thanks for visiting our LRC Blog and leaving us a comment.

I hope you have had a great start to the year in your library where I know you do wonderful things with your students!

You won’t find many photos of me because I prefer to be behind the camera!!

We will definitely have to visit each other’s libraries this year…

  3. This is a really good way of gaining evidence of the breadth of programs and activities in the LRC. It also depicts the value added dimensions of the LRC programs and is a very valid way of recording them.

  13. Hi Lara

Thank you for saying hello. You are doing a great job with your borrowing!

I’ve had a lot of fun reading ‘Press Here’ to the classes. Did you have a favourite part of the story?

    Miss Y πŸ™‚

  14. Dear Miss Y

I do have a favorite part of Press Here. It is all of the story.

  15. Hi Miss Y, I love the photo of me reading to Chloe the Carlton book. Nice shot.

  19. Nice to see all these photos of what happens sometimes at the LRC. I think some people don’t know they got caught out by you with the camera.

  20. Hi Miss Y

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!! I hope you enjoyed your birthday.

I also hope you like the book that I typed up. I’m looking forward to our first LRC lesson. I was so excited to have I broke my trunk! I have read it already. I’m looking forward to bringing my book back and borrowing a different book.

    See you tomorrow

From Claire (the book moster in our family like Thomas too. We are the cheeky book monsters).

  21. Hi Claire

I had a lovely birthday thank you! (and I loved 2B singing to me!)

I loved your story about cutting your finger, although the part about your red blood on the green towel made my tummy do a bit of a back flip! Thank you for typing your story and letting me put it in the LRC for others to read and enjoy.

The Elephant and Piggie books are so much fun to read! I’m so glad Mrs Hembree introduced us to these books.

I’m looking forward to seeing you in the LRC tomorrow too Claire.

You and Thomas are also very friendly Book Monsters!!

    Miss Y πŸ™‚

  22. Hi Miss Y

Thank you I had lots of fun in the LRC. I can’t wait for the Book Fair (just make sure Tom and I the book monsters don’t eat books with our mouths). I hope you can sell lots of books. I hope all the moving goes well for you tomorrow. I’m also looking forward to the Reading Hour in our pyjamas. I have already got my nose in a book at the moment while I’m typing. I can’t wait for our next LRC lesson. I was begging my dad to take me to the Rosanna library.

Thank you for saying Tom and I were very friendly book monsters πŸ™‚ You are a friendly LRC teacher too!

    From Claire πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

  23. Hi Claire

I will be working hard to get our Book Fair ready tomorrow.

I think wearing our pyjamas to celebrate the Reading Hour at school will be lots of fun!!

See you at the Book Fair next week when you can look at the books to buy (and eat them with your eyes!)

    Miss Y πŸ˜€

  24. Dear Ms Yeomans,

I cannot wait for the new 39 storey treehouse this year!!!!!!
Also I hope I have a great year at the LRC!!!

    from Mac R.

PS When are we going to choose tables?

PPS Please make on the Aussie Readers

  25. Hi Mac

I’m looking forward to The 39-storey Treehouse too. I wonder what Andy and Terry will come up with this time!

We will choose tables this week so then it’s all sorted for the year.

I hope we have a fabulous year in the LRC too!

I watched some of “How to Train Your Dragon ” tonight because of you Mac – I know how much you love the series!

    Miss Y πŸ™‚

  26. Hi Ms Y,

I was just wondering, is the book Clementine Rose out yet in the LRC because I wanted to reserve it at the LRC today but I didn’t see it anywhere.

P.S when is the 39 storey tree house coming out?
    Thanks

    From Hannah T πŸ™‚

  27. Hi Hannah,

Both Clementine Rose stories are available in the LRC. Just pop in and reserve the book you want as they are all borrowed at the moment.

The 39-storey tree house will be out about September. Andy had another book called “Once Upon a Slime” due out in April and it has lots of ideas to help with writing.

    Miss Y πŸ™‚

  28. Hi Miss Y,

Thanks for telling me. I will pop in when I have time.

I can’t wait until the 39 storey tree house comes out. I will tell my Aury also about Andy’s new book.

    Hannah πŸ™‚

  29. Hi Hannah,

See you in the LRC when you have time to pop in!

Thanks for letting Aury know, I’m sure he will be excited too.

    Happy reading!

    Miss Y πŸ™‚

  30. Hi Miss Y

Thanks for putting up the photo of me and mark.
He is starting to read and soon he will be like me

    From Luke V

  31. Hi Luke

It’s my pleasure to put the photo of you and Mark on our Snapshots page.

Mark is so lucky to have a big brother who reads with him and shares the fun of reading! You are a great reading role model for Mark and I’m sure you will be there to encourage him with his reading.

    Happy reading Luke!

    Miss Y

  32. I had to tidy the huge play room it was boring.
I hope you are having a better weekend then I’m having:).
    from Jack.

  33. Hi Jack

I’m sure your mum and dad appreciated you tidying the play room as they’re not the ones who made the mess!

I hope you enjoyed looking at our LRC Blog.

Cold weekends like this are a great time to snuggle up under your doona or on the couch with a good book…

    Miss Y πŸ™‚
