Thank you so much to Mrs Coffa and the students at St Luke’s, Blackburn South who have been very generous in giving us two books for our LRC. Mrs Coffa heard that our “W section” had lost nearly all of its books during the Christmas Day storms so she made sure we once again have copies of “Old Pig” and “Grandpa Baby” written by one of our favourite authors…Margaret Wild. Thank you so much for your thoughtfulness and generosity!
Thank you too for your lovely letters of support – Tessa, Amelia S, Chloe and Joe :)

Thank you to Mrs Coffa and to the school community, at St Luke’s Blackburn South, for your generous gift of books by Margaret Wild, to replace the books we lost in the storms on Christmas Day.
Your actions show you are connecting globally and taking actions that matter.
Please convey our thanks to the members of St Luke’s community.
Trish Stewart, Principal, St Martin’s.
Miss Yeomans and Mrs Stewart,
The world is very much a smaller place nowadays. Reading your blog about the damage to your so recently opened and much loved library really made us feel like we had to do something. We watched as your community all banded together and helped get things sorted in the first few days and then as the international community got involved.
What better example of the value of connecting can we offer our students? A tangible example of how the virtual worlds can collide with the ‘real’ ones.
